GPS Hospitality Acquires Additional 15 BK Restaurants

 Vision of Growth and Becoming Favorite Customer QSR Destination Drives Brand

ATLANTA – (January 8, 2014) – GPS Hospitality Acquisition Company, LLC announced today the purchase of 15 BURGER KING® restaurants from Charton Management, Inc. The newly-acquired stores are located in West Virginia and southeastern Ohio.

“Charton Management has a longstanding history with the BURGER KING® brand and we’re excited to add these stores to the GPS portfolio,” said Tom Garrett, CEO and Founder. “We have a plan for aggressive growth – to reach 200 stores by 2018. This is the first step to achieving that goal.”

The turnaround of the Atlanta-based GPS Hospitality stores is well under way. Ten stores were remodeled in 2013, with plans for 14 more in 2014. “We’re on track to remodel 29 of our 42 stores in the Atlanta area by the end of 2015, per our commitment to Burger King Corp. when we became a franchisee in October 2012,” added Garrett. “Investing in remodeling our stores demonstrates a commitment to the brand, to our employees and the communities we serve. The feedback we’ve received from our guests, and our teams, has been overwhelmingly positive.”
