GPS Hospitality Wins Coveted Top Spot as Fastest-Growing Private Company at Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2016 Pacesetter Awards
Franchisee Has Grown from 42 Georgia Restaurants to 229 Locations in Nine States in Just Four Years
ATLANTA – (April 22, 2016) – GPS Hospitality celebrates being recognized as the #1 recipient of the 2016 Atlanta Business Chronicle Pacesetter Awards, an annual awards program that recognizes Atlanta’s top 100 fastest-growing private companies.
In less than four years, GPS Hospitality has quickly become one of the nation’s largest BURGER KING® franchisees with 222 locations in nine states, in addition to recently joining the Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen brand with the acquisition of seven restaurants. To sustain such rapid growth, GPS Hospitality emphasizes a goal-focused, talent-oriented approach to franchise management, while also prioritizing the need to attract and retain top talent in the QSR industry.
“We could not have achieved our growth without the hard work and dedication from our team members, each of whom share the vision to make our restaurants our guests’ favorite fast food destinations,” said Tom Garrett, CEO and Founder. “Being ranked among Atlanta’s fastest-growing companies is truly an honor. I’m thrilled to share this award with the entire GPS Hospitality team.”
The Pacesetter Awards program, now in its 21st year, honors privately-held Atlanta organizations that have experienced exceptional growth and are continuing to take business to the next level. To qualify for the 2016 Pacesetter Awards, the Atlanta Business Chronicle requires that nominated companies be privately held; based in the 20-county metro Atlanta area; be established by the first quarter 2013 or earlier; and have experienced a two-year growth in sales of more than 50%; and 2015 revenues between $1 million and $300 million.
