Vickie Volan Promoted to Vice President of Human Resources

New Title to Reflect Responsibilities of Valued GPS Hospitality Partner

ATLANTA – (November 14, 2016) – GPS Hospitality, a rapidly growing BURGER KING® and Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen franchisee, today announces the promotion of Vickie Volan as the company’s new Vice President of Human Resources. A talented HR professional with close to 20 years of experience, including 11 years in the quick-service restaurant industry, Volan will oversee the execution of all aspects of GPS Hospitality’s human relations strategy.

“Vickie knows better than anyone that our people are our most valuable resource,” said Tom Garrett, CEO of GPS Hospitality. “As we’ve become a company with more than 6,500 employees nationwide, she’s established the systems we use to welcome and integrate new employees, and she’s instrumental in our plans to keep growing.”

A founding partner and the Director of Human Resources for the past four years, Volan leads GPS Hospitality’s HR functions for employees in 235 locations across nine states – including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, workers compensation, regulatory compliance, performance management and employee relations. Under her leadership and direction, GPS Hospitality’s HR Department has tripled in size and implemented new processes to streamline onboarding, payroll and training on new systems.

Volan is a graduate of Georgia State University and worked as an HR Supervisor with The Wendy’s Company (Wendy’s/Arby’s Group, Inc.) for seven years before joining GPS Hospitality in 2012.
